How I Found The Shortest and Most Effective Exercise For Fat Burning


Best Tabata exercises and recoveryAs a mother I think it’s really important to look and feel at the top of my game so that I can take care of my children to the best of my ability. That said, it’s not always easy to find the time to exercise in between doing school runs, cooking healthy and nutritious meals, and everything else that life with a family requires. I was struggling with finding a workout routine that fit in with my busy schedule and even dedicating an hour a day to fitness seemed like an impossible goal with everything else that was going on. I tried one fitness regime after another but found that I was giving up on each one really quickly as the time it took was more than I could manage and I wasn’t seeing any tangible results for all my hard work. I started to feel stressed as nothing seemed to be working for me until I discovered the miracle of HIIT workouts, TABATA exercises, and CrossFit workouts. Add clean eating using coconut oil and coconut water to the mix and I’ve never felt or looked better!


What are HITT, TABATA, and CrossFit?

If you’ve never heard of them before HIIT workouts, TABATA exercises and CrossFit workouts are basically all forms of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and are proven to burn fat quickly. As soon as I heard about them I knew they were just what I needed to get in shape and even more importantly I found that I could do them from home using simple bodyweight exercises with no need for fancy equipment or an expensive gym membership. The workouts are all backed up by science, like the TABATA exercises that were developed in Japan by Dr. Izumi Tabata at the National Institute of Fitness and Sport in Tokyo, who led a study that found that short yet intense exercise with short rest periods increased both cardiovascular and muscle function at the same time as fat burning

CrossFit exercises also focus on this premise and are used by a lot of top athletes the world over, so obviously they produce results! Having tried it myself I can say that this completely worked for me, and after following the regime of 10 minutes of intense TABATA exercises, HIIT exercises, and CrossFit workouts every day I saw amazing result after just one month. Not only is it easy to fit in HIIT workouts, TABATA exercises, and CrossFit workouts on a daily basis, but I’m now slimmer, fitter, stronger, and have lost a lot of body fat very quickly. I couldn’t have asked for a better fitness programme and it has really revolutionised the way I view exercise.


Quick Start:

The Tabata system is easy to remember: 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest, and repeat. The short rest intervals force the body to keep moving before it actually recovers from the previous set—and that’s part of the reason why Tabata leads to significant aerobic and anaerobic gains. But there’s a catch: You have to push yourself—really push yourself all out. You won’t reap the strength and cardio benefits from leisurely going through the movements. But when performed correctly, there’s another benefit: the afterburn effect. That means you keep burning calories for hours after your short workout has ended.

Try this for 8 rounds, a total of 4 minutes exercise- Tabata style!

You can extend your fat burning workout by adding more exercises or extra rounds its totally up to you, but remember you have to go all out!

Clean Eating:

Clean eating goes hand in hand with any exercise programme so, along with the TABATA exercises, HIIT workouts, and CrossFit workouts, I’ve been supplementing my fitness regime with coconut oil and coconut water.

Not only are coconut oil and coconut water a great source of fuel due to their properties as a superfood, they are also awesome for recovery. Coconut oil has natural fuelling powers due to good saturated fats that mean that it provides more energy to help you work out. As a result, I have started to make my own energy drinks before each set of TABATA exercises, HIIT workouts or CrossFit workouts by mixing a teaspoon of coconut oil with a glass of water. It tastes really soothing and it’s way better than classic energy drinks that are often packed with sugar and other nasty’s. I drink my coconut oil elixir about 10 minutes before I start my exercises and the effect is almost immediate. I literally feel more energetic and ready to take on a HITT, TABATA or CrossFit workout.

For my post workout regime I turn to coconut water to soothe my body. The workouts are short but intense so it’s really important for me to follow each one with plenty of coconut water to replenish my body and make sure that I’m hydrated and taking care of myself. I can feel that clean eating and drinking is really helping me to support my exercise regime and integrating coconut oil and coconut water into my diet are essential in keeping me healthy. Drinking coconut water after a HIIT, TABATA or CrossFit workout also boosts my energy levels and leaves me feeling energized and ready to face the rest of the day ahead. No more feeling tired and sluggish after exercise as coconut water naturally replaces electrolytes lost during a workout. If you want to feel great then clean eating coupled with HITT workouts, TABATA exercises, and CrossFit workouts are the key!
